The Bickley Valley Wine and Cider trail is a beautiful pocket of the Perth Hills wine region. The Bickley Valley wineries and cider houses are all family owned and run, so on a tour to the Bickley Valley you will get to know the locals, meet the makers and feel part of the community.
Undoubtedly one of Perth's best hidden gems, locals consider this region to be a little slice of Europe. With about a dozen wineries, cideries and gin distilleries to visit, scenic dining options and an abundance of nature and orchards there are plenty of ways to fill a Bickley Valley tour, even for those that don't drink alcohol.
Bickley Valley tours are available 'by the seat' where you can join others on a tour, and also as private tours where the experience can be customised to your taste. For those who prefer a later start or are short on time, we also offer Perth's only half day Bickley Valley tour.

THE WINE REGION
The Bickley Valley wineries are all very small producers, which means most wines are only available from the cellar door. Although small in size, there are many award-winning producers found here, known for growing 'alternative', lesser-known varietals. On a Bickley Valley tour you often get to try a wide range of new and interesting wines that you may not find in our other regions - alongside popular varietals such as Cabernet, Shiraz and Chardonnay. Being small group tours, we get access to venues that can't accommodate big bus groups - and even some places that aren't open to the general public. Indepth wine experience such as vineyard tours, barrel and tank tastings, masterclasses with the winemakers and wine blending workshops are also available at select times during the year.
LOCAL PRODUCE
Seasonal produce is a highlight here, with plenty of options for lunch or food with a view. Most of our Bickley Valley tours feature a casual vineyard platter lunch that gives you a taste of what the region offers. For private Bickley Valley tours we also have the option of a longer two course or three course lunch that showcases some amazing local produce.
BEYOND THE WINE...
Every region offers much more than just wine. Private tours can be customised to suit your specific taste and interest, and can include orchard tours, which are particularly stunning in Spring for blossoms, in Autumn for the array of colours, or for fruit picking in Summer. There are also many trails around the area, where you can take a guided horse ride or mountain bike through the natural bushland. A visit to Araluen Botanic Park is also a relaxing way to spend the morning.
And of course there are many places to enjoy lunch with a view, a gourmet produce platter, local fruit juices or coffee and cake.
