With about a dozen wineries, cideries and gin distilleries to visit, scenic dining options and an abundance of nature and orchards, there are plenty of ways to fill a Bickley Valley tour, even for those that don't drink alcohol.

WHAT IS THIS REGION KNOWN FOR?

Small boutique vineyards, restaurants with rustic charm, seasonal farmgates and stunning views of rolling vineyards and orchards - the scenery in this region is a treat in itself.

THE WINE REGION

The Bickley Valley wineries are all very small producers, which means most wines are only available directly from the cellar door. Although small in size, there are many award-winning producers found here, known for growing 'alternative', lesser-known varietals. On a Bickley Valley tour you often get to try a wide range of new and interesting wines that you may not find in our other regions, alongside popular varietals such as Cabernet, Shiraz and Chardonnay. Being small group tours, we get access to venues that can't accommodate big bus groups - which is most of the cellar doors here.

LOCAL PRODUCE

Seasonal produce is a highlight, as is lunch with a view. The orchards and market gardens here now mostly sell directly from their property ('farmgate') and most of the wineries and restaurants that offer food focus on creating dishes that feature seasonal produce, much of which is grown and harvested from nearby local farms or orchards. During Summer and Autumn some cellar doors will also sell or offer tastings of fruit from their own property.

BEYOND THE WINE...

Every region offers much more than just wine. We also offer private tours that include orchard visits, which are particularly stunning in Spring for blossoms, in Autumn for the array of colours, or for fruit picking in Summer.
