THE WINE REGION
Some of the world's oldest soils are found in Margaret River, and its climate is considered one of the most reliable in Australia - giving consistently high quality wines year after year. In fact, 25% of Australia's premium wine comes from the Margaret River region, which is an amazing feat given how little is produced here.
Cabernet and Chardonnay are the heroes of the region, but there are also many wineries now growing and producing wines from lesser known varietals.
