This full day cider, wine & whiskey tasting experience is the perfect mix of country and city for people who love tasting new and interesting wines, matched with superb local food, craft cider and an inside look at our first urban Perth Whiskey distillery.

A true hidden gem right on the doorstep of Perth, the Bickley Valley wine trail boasts stunning views of rolling hills covered in orchards, award-winning wines, bountiful fruit orchards and plentiful vineyards. This is a beautiful region to visit at all times of the year - with stunning blossoms in spring, amazing colours in Autumn, lush green trees and load of fruit in Summer, and dramatic landscapes in winter.

On our Bickley Valley Cider Wine & Whiskey tour you will really get to explore like a local - starting the day with a guided tour out in the vineyard, where you will learn more about wine growing in this region and how the unique environmental factors influence the wines of the region.

Also included on this tour is a tasting paddle of five ciders at a craft cider house while enjoying views over the apple orchards; extensive wine tastings at two excellent wineries including rare varietals and fortified wines; and a behind-the-scenes personal tour of Perth's only urban Whiskey distillery, with Whiskey tastings included of course! Most of the products you will taste are not available in shops or restaurants, making this a unique wine tasting and cellar door experience for both visitors and locals.

A gourmet platter lunch is also included and features a selection of cheeses, meats and antipasto in a fabulous boutique winery setting.

This all inclusive small group tour is set at a relaxed pace to allow plenty of time to explore, taste and speak to the local growers, winemakers and distillers. Depending on the time of year, you may also get the opportunity to purchase freshly picked, locally grown seasonal fruit to take with you.

It truly was a voyage of discovery as Up Close & Local Tours took us to a region 30 minutes from Perth CBD which we did not know existed. Paul, our expedition leader, did a magnificent job of bringing 6 strangers together for an unforgettable experience.

Professionalism, engaging, considerate accompanied by knowledge make for a great day out. All the venues were very interesting, some very nice wine and whisky were sampled and a rather delicious beautifully presented grazing platter for lunch. Perth turned up the weather for us too, but the choice of cideries, wineries and distilleries really elevated our days enjoyment. Personal and attentive, this tour felt intimate and relaxed. Whiskey tasting was interesting, compared to my single malt Scottish whisky tours, I learnt something new. Highly recommend this this tour.

The platter lunch was delectable, and the wineries, cidery and whiskey distillery we were taken to, were really interesting. It was a glorious day with wonderful scenery and good company.
