WHAT IS THIS REGION KNOWN FOR?
A wine and food enclave with generations of tradition and a booming industry of micro-distilleries and craft breweries.
THE WINE REGION
With almost 200 years of winemaking history under its belt, the Swan Valley is home to the oldest vines in Western Australia. with many stories to tell, many of the vineyards are now run by third or fourth generation winemakers continuing the legacy of their ancestors.
One of the warmest wine regions in Australia, the Swan Valley is one of the few regions able to produce a range of wine from sparkling through to fortified styles all in the one region. The wine styles that you will find in this region are fresh, crisp white wines with remarkable ageing potential, and rich fruit forward red wines with great drinkability.
